1.  He saw very beautiful pansies. 
2.The flowers were arranged to form a sentence "Death to Major Brown".
3.  Major Brown wanted Rupert Grant to help him in resolving the mystery of the pansies and the beautiful lady.
4.  Pupert was very excited but his brother Basil was not very impressed by it.
5.  The letter said about some delay in certain arrangements. 
6. The letter was written by Mr.  Northover.
7. He gave him a bill for the sevices.
8.  It was just a mistake,  not a crime.

10.  The client of the agency had the same last name as Major Brown.  So Major Brown was taken for this client.
