A girl said she
was Betty Smith. She said her full name
was Elizabeth Louise Smith. She said she was a college graduate. And added she
was a writer, just a beginner, as I knew. She said she had a lot of friends and
most of them were her former school-maters. She said her best companions were
two girl-friends. She said they were very kind, jolly and well-bred.
She said her brother-in-law, Henry Sandford, was married to her elder sister Helen.
She said she was
a member of Helen`s family. She said her brother-in-law was a doctor and he had
a mother, but he had no father. She added her sister was a house-wife. She said
they had only one child, Benny. She said Benny was her nephew and he was four.
She said that sometimes he was naughty and he was fond of birds and
animals. She said they had white mice, a
hedgehog and a parrot in the house. She added at that time Benny was eager to
have a rabbit, but his mother was against that, they had no peace because of
all Benny`s animals and birds.
