It's necessary for a surgeon to be accurate, because he works with a real human body! Also, he needs to be reliable, so that the patient won't worry about the opereation ( or stuff like that ) too much. A surgeon should be patient, because he has to operate people four hours! Ability to make decisions quickly would be very usefull too, because all sorts of things can happen during the operation. Most importantly, a surgeon should have a wide knowledge of anatomy and medicine, so that he could be an expert at his job.
