ЕСЛИ НУЖНО, ТО СОКРАТИ. Agnes Gondzhe Boyadzhiu was born on August 26, 1910 in the Macedonian city of Skopje in a family of Albanian Dranfile and an arumyn (vlakha) [2] Nikola, both parents were Catholics. It had a sister Agata and the brother Lazar. The family was very provided. Dranfile devoted a lot of time to a prayer and church services, and also mercy affairs. Poor welcomed in Boyadzhiu's family, except that Dranfile with children I visited some poor families. Nikola died under the obscure circumstances in 1919 Dranfile remained with three children, earned a living by sewing, an embroidery and different other operation. Later it took to herself six orphans.
The Gondzha from 12 years began to dream of monastic service and of going to India and to care there of the poor.
In eighteen years she went to Ireland and there entered monastic order "Irish sisters of Loreto". In 1931 I accepted Theresa in honor of the nun-karmelitki Theresa canonized in 1927 from Lizye known for the kindness and mercy tonsured and took a name.
Soon the award sent it to Calcutta where about 20 years she taught at women's school of Saint Maria. On September 10, 1946 she got permission from a manual of an award to help poor and the disadvantaged of Calcutta, and in 1948 based a community there: monastic congregation "Missionerki Lyubvi's Sisters" which activities were directed on creation of schools, shelters, hospitals for poor and seriously ill patients of people, irrespective of their nationality and religion.
Since 1965 activities of the monastic congregation founded by Mother Teresa crossed boundaries of India, now it has 400 separations in 111 countries of the world and 700 houses of mercy in 120 countries. Its missions, as a rule, work in regions of natural disasters and economically unsuccessful regions.
In 1973 mother Theresa became the first winner of the Templtonovsky award for progress in religion.
In 1979 Nobel Peace Prize "For activities for the aid to the suffering person" was adjudged to mother Theresa.
She died on September 5, 1997 in Calcutta (India) on the 88th year of life. In October, 2003 it is beatified it (is beatified) by Catholic Church.
