How are you? In your last letter you asked me about my country. And I’ll be glad to write about it.
Ukraineis situated in the eastern part of Europe. It is the largest European country and it can become your most desired place with the splendid beauty of magnificent mountains, rich heritage, exotic culture, wonderful architecture, elegance and bustling city life.
Our country has very definite climatic conditions. We have four seasons of the year and the weather changes greatly from season to season. The climate of the country is determined by its geographical position. In general the climate of Ukraineis moderately continental, being subtropical only on the southern coast of the Crimea.
Winters are rather mild with no severe frosts. Summer is usually hot. This is about typical weather conditions in the country. I like spring inUkraine very much as the weather is neither hot nor cold.
