* b) reporting the dialogue:
Aunt Mary told uncle Jack that she wondered what Bob and Bill were doing after coming home from school.
Uncle Jack suggested that they were playing with their friends in the yard or watching TV.
Aunt Mary agreed with him, and proposed to invite Bob and Bill to their house for a month or so. She was confident that they would like the country.
Uncle Jack said that he liked her idea and was glad she had thought of it. He confessed that he liked those boys.
Aunt Mary offered him to write a letter to the boys as soon as he could. She also said she knew that their parents would be glad to let the boys come.
Uncle Jack refused to write a letter immediately, explaining it by necessity of working in the garden that evening. He decided to put the letter off until the next day.
