My name is Nina. Last spring my sister and I went to Smolensk to visit our aunt and uncle. It is an old Russian city in the west of our country. But it is a modern city too with big supermarkets, hotels, cinemas and theatres. I think the people who live in Smolensk are theatregoers. They have got many theatres in their city. We visited the children’s theatre and the Puppet Theatre too. There are two picture galleries in Smolensk. They have very interesting collections of paintings. There are lots of churches in the city. Some of them are in the city centre. They are very beautiful. Lots of people from our country and abroad come to this famous place and enjoy staying there.

Моё имя Нина. Прошлой весной моя сестра и я отправились в Смоленск, чтобы навестить своих тётю и дядю. Это старый Русский город на западе нашей страны. Но, это также и современный город с крупными супермаркетами, отелями, кинотеатрами и театрами. Я думаю, что люди, которые живут в Смоленске являются любителями театров. У них много театров в их городе. Мы бывали в детском театре и в Кукольном Театре, тоже. В Смоленске имеются две картинные галереи. У них очень интересные коллекции картин. В городе очень много церквей. Некоторые из них, находятся в центре города. Они очень красивые. Большинство людей из нашей страны и из других стран, приезжают в это знаменитое место и обожают бывать там.
