Dear Daisy, I have been sharing a student house with Olivia for six months now. At first I really (enjoy, enjoyed, was enjoyed, had enjoyed)... living with her but recently things (had been started, were started, have started, are starting)... to go wrong. First of all, she appears to be unable to do any kind of housework. Whenever I ask her to do the washing-up she always (will promise, had promised, is promised, promises)... to do it but then somehow manages to forget. I don't really appreciate being faced with a pile of dirty dishes every time I go into the kitchen. Another thing is, she never offers to cook. She loves eating though, and (keeps, is kept, was kept, has been kept)... on taking my food without asking. The other day I was really looking forward to eating a delicious chocolate cake I (buy, have bought, had bought, was buying)... , but when I opened the fridge it (had gone, was going, went, is gone)... ! And what's worse - she pretended not to know anything about it! I know I really need to confront her but somehow I always avoid speaking to her about it because, the truth is, I can't stand having difficult conversations with people. You're a very diplomatic person, Daisy - how can I persuade her to be a bit more considerate? Let me know if you (will have had, had, have, are had)... any bright ideas!
