The flag of Russia consists of three equal-sized horizontal stripes: white, blue and red. It was adopted as the flag of the Russian Federation in 1991. The design of it was based on the flag of Netherlands. There is no actually special meaning for the colors of the flag. But some
believe white stripe symbolizes peace, blue truth and red strength and love. Other people say that red field represents Russian people, blue - the Ukrainians, and white - the Belo Russians.
