A LETTER FROM AFRICA
January, 3rd
Dear Bob,
Thank you for your letter. You ask me to describe my house. Well, I think it's very different from yours. It is a big house, made of stone.1 There are four floors in it and my bedroom is at the top. It's the only room on that floor. I don't have much fur¬niture in it but I like it. There is 'a small wardrobe in the corner of my room where I keep my clothes. Next to the wardrobe there
is a standard lamp and an armchair. I like to sit in the armchair Л reading books. ^ Under my room there is my parents' bedroom, which is next to the living-room. We have dinner, supper and tea in the living- j room and we usually spend a lot of time there. Under the living- ; s room there is another floor which has the hall with the front i ""v door and a kitchen. On the left as you come into the hall there iare some stairs' which go up to the living-room. Under the j hall and a kitchen we keep our animals: a horse, a cow and some sheep. My uncle and aunt's bedroom is next to the living- I room on the third floor.
There is a small garden behind our house and we've got two big trees in front of it. There is a large field opposite our house. Come and see me and my family some day.

Дорогой Боб,
Спасибо за письмо. Ты просишь меня описать свой дом. Я думаю,что наши жилища значительно различаются. У меня большой дом,сделанный из камня. На первом этаже четыре комнаты,на втором одна -- моя спальня. У меня не много мебели и мне это нравится. В углу маленький шкафчик,куда я кладу свою одежду. Рядом со шкафом напольная лампа и кресло. Я люблю сидеть здесь и читать. Под моей комнатой спальня родителей,что рядом с гостиной. Обедаем,ужинаем и пьём чай мы в гостиной,и вообще обычно проводим здесь много времени. Под гостиной есть ещё один этаж,на котором располагаются холл,входная дверь и кухня. Как войдёшь в дверь,слева будут ступеньки,которые ведут в гостиную. Под холлом и кухней мы держим свои животных: лошадь,корову и несколько овец. Спальня моих дяди и тёти рядом с гостиной,на третьем этаже. Сзади нашего дома небольшой сад,спереди же два больших дерева. Напротив нашего дома большое поле. Приезжай повидаться со мной и моей семьёй.
