Education plays a very important role in making my life as complete and fulfilling as possible. While in high school there are many goals that I have to set for myself. These goals are to make my future rewarding. To achieve my goals I must make important decisions about my education. The decisions I make will affect my future.
There are two paths in which I can take. The first path would be working in a job that doesn’t require any college degree. I would get minimum pay with possibly no benefits. The second choice would be to go to college right after high school and receive a degree of my choice in the field that I want to work in. Approximately 30,000 students enroll for college every semester. I choose to go to college right after high school!
I love to learn new ideas, and I have bright plans for my future. I am going to go to college to become a radiologist. I have always wanted to be in the medical field. I believe that helping others is very important. To achieve these desires, I must work and study hard and long before I graduate. I must try very hard to do my best in high school and stay focused on what I want out of life. High School drop outs are 72% more likely to be unemployed and earn 27% less then high school graduates.
I feel that being involved in the medical field will give me the opportunity to give something back to my community. I hope to be a good role model for children. I want to let them know that high school and college education is a very important part of life. I also want to teach others to always believe in their dreams, and to never be afraid to strive to be what you want to be. “It’s true that education costs money, but so does ignorance. I believe that people would rather spend the money now, on our children’s education, then spend it later on unemployment, substance abuse counseling, or prison.
