Australia
— the smallest and most arid continent on the planet, and the most flat
of all known in the world. The surrounding seas and oceans have little
effect on the climate of inland areas, so precipitation there falls a
little.
About half of the country's territory is occupied by deserts
and semi-deserts. But along the northeast coast, where it often rains,
humid tropical forests grow. As you move inland they are replaced by
bright eucalyptus forests. Here grows several species of eucalyptus. The
leaves and bark of these trees are rich in essential oils, which are
widely used in medicine and technology.
The peculiar fauna of the
fifth continent. Only in Australia, there are marsupial mammals:
kangaroos, small, charming, tree-dwelling marsupial bear, Koala,
marsupial squirrels, and rats. But most importantly marsupial animal of
Australia — the kangaroo.(слова которые не знаешь ,замени)
