Dear Robin,
I (1) (am) sorry for not having written for so long, but I have been
busy with exams. They (are) over now, and I (2) (can) relax for a while
and write letters to all my friends. You (3) (must) remember how
difficult exams can be.
Yesterday we (4) (were given) a test to do. It (5) (was) quite difficult.
Then we (6) (had) an interview with a teacher when our spoken English
(7) (was checked). We (shall be) getting the results next week so I am keeping my
fingers crossed. I have done all my best to improve my English and I (8) (like) my
progress. Now I am listening to a famous British song and I (9)
(understand) every word! A newspaper (10) (does not seem) a puzzle to me.
I had better finish now as it’s very late. Write back soon.
