Raymond Kurzweil was born in the USA in a family with a creative streak. His father was a composer, his mother dabbed in art and little Ray was partial to science fiction and speculated on the future. Way back in his childhood he masterminded a project of creating artificial intelligence. In fact he started from scratch. At the age of 15 Ray Kurzweil wrote a piece of software for composing music. During a live TV show called “I know a secret!” Ray ground out only a simple tune that had picked out on the piano. The TV show host was frustrated. But Ray claimed that the music had been composed by a computer and that in the future conventional computers would be as intelligent as humans. The TV show host was lost for words. He decided that Ray was pulling his leg. That statement seemed to be dubious rather than plausible.
According to the inventor computers would also be able to replace human organs and in the future intelligent nanobots would go into our brain thorough capillaries and interact directly with human neurons. He believes that the upcoming technology will be a further extension of a human machine civilization and the nanobots implanted in our brain will enhance our intelligence and boost health. The news about Ray Kurzweil dispersed with lightning speed but that wasn`t just an effective semblance of inventions. Actual implementations of his ideas became a sequel to his predictions. He pioneered automatic speech recognition by machines which was a great boon for the blind who were able to realize their insatiable thirst for reading books. The scanners created by Kurzweil are not obsolete yet and sell like hot cakes. Having all the makings of an efficient manager he sets up Kurzweil Music Systems company that specializes in production of musical instruments. For better or for worse the first product of the company is now in the making. Obsessed with new ideas he doesn`t find his work a grind!
