At the beginning of the war, four children from the Pevensi family were evacuated outside the city, to the house of Professor Kirk, a friend of the family. While Peter and Susan, older children, are trying to adapt to the new environment and, if possible, replace the parents, the younger ones, Edmund and Lucy, suffer from change. One day, when the children played hide and seek, Lucy climbed into the wardrobe and found that in the depths of his, behind the fur coats, lies a whole magical world.
She finds herself in Narnia and meets there a friendly faun named Tumnus, who tells that a magical country suffers under the oppression of the White Queen, for whose will eternal winter reigns. Returning to her world, Lucy is surprised to realize that while she was in contact with Tumnus, only a few seconds passed here, and no one missed it. Brothers and sister do not believe Lucy, but later they find out that Narnia exists in reality, and that it is they - the human children - who are destined to save her from the White Queen. And then spring will come to Narnia.
