Come and spend a day in an English school! It is almost 9 am on Monday, and the boys and girls go back to school after Saturday and Sunday free. Some of them go to school, and some come on bicycles, and others who live farther from the school, took the bus. They wear their school uniform.
It's 11 o'clock: time mid-morning break. Boys and girls came out on the landing for milk collection: every boy and every girl in school in England is given a third of a pint of milk every day. When they drank their milk, they can play until time to return to lessons.
After the break, no more lessons. Then it's one o'clock. Time for lunch! The cost of school Lunches is only a shilling. You get meat, potatoes and vegetables and then a pudding of some sort.
