The decoration of any dastarkhan and the most favorite dish among Kazakhs has always been meat in Kazakh. Boiled meat was usually served in large undivided pieces. The owner cut the meat, treating each guest tidbits: pelvic bones and a shin gave honorable old men, a brisket - to the son-in-law or the daughter-in-law, a cervical vertebra - to girls, etc. The owner presented the honored guest himself with a specially prepared ram's head. The guest had to divide the head between the attendees, observing a certain ritual, in which the ancient custom of respectful treatment of guests, old people, children, close and distant relatives affected.
