How to cook dumplings with potatoes:
1. Clean and wash onions and potatoes.
2. Cut the potatoes into cubes. Boil in salted water until ready for about 20-25 minutes.
3. Cut the onions into cubes.
4. Pour the vegetable oil into the frying pan. Fry the onion, stirring, over medium heat until golden brown, 5-6 minutes.
5. When the potatoes are cooked, drain all the water carefully. Peel the potatoes with a mashed potatoes. Salt and pepper, add the vegetable oil along with half of the fried onions. Mix well. Cool it down. The filling is ready.
6. Prepare batter for dumplings with potatoes. Sift flour. In a bowl, pour warm water, add salt and sugar. Stir until dissolved.
7. Add half a cup of flour to the water in portions, kneading it. Knead the soft dough.
8. Leave the dough on a table or in a bowl for 10 minutes. Cover with a towel.
9. Cut half of the dough. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin, pouring the flour as needed, into a thin layer (about 3 mm thick).
10. Cut the dough into squares with a side of 5 cm or squeeze out the circles.
11. Put 1-1.5 teaspoons of the filling on each piece. Carefully seal the edges.
12. Then roll out the second half of the dough. And to mold all the vareniki.
13. Boil 3 l of water in a saucepan, add salt. Cook vareniki with potatoes 2-3 portions, 7-10 minutes until the test is ready.
14. Serve vareniki with potatoes with fried onions and vegetable oil.
