People
used to think that the family played an important role in society, but times
have changed and now the family is much less important.
Some time ago the
family was the most important thing in people’s lives. Women did housework. They
cleaned up, washed, cooked, and brought up children. While men earned money for their family.
But
now everything has changed. A lot of young
people prefer pursuing their career to starting a family. They think that it is
necessary to postpone their family life to the time they will make a career,
buy a flat or a hose and save enough
money to be financially independent.
Besides, even if they start a family and
decide to have children, baby- sitters come to replace wives and mothers. There
are a lot of families where children don’t see their parents for a long time,
because they are busy with their careers.
I think it is bad that today the family doesn’t play
the most important role in our society. To
my opinion, we must think better about our life aims. And I hope that in the
end, people can understand that the family is really more important than career
and money.
