Do you agree Happy Birthday to You is the world’s most famous song? It is recognised by just about everyone. In fact somebody probably is singing it somewhere in the world at this moment! But what are the origins of a tune which became so famous? In 1893 two teachers Patty and Mildred J.Hill wrote a song. They called it Good Morning to You. They taught it to their kindergarten pupils in Kentucky, USA. The children found the song easy to learn and sing. The present song has the same tune but different words. Millions of people have been singing the song in many different languages since those days. Not long ago it was my birthday. My guests gave me many presents. And I heard this wonderful song when I blew the candles on the cake.
