He was born in Moscow on Noveber 25, 1810
His devotion to science helped he to overcome obstacle. And in 1836 Pirogov already was a professor of surgery
"No medicine without surgery and no surgery without anatomy" there is was his motto
Pirogov produce and complete the first exact work on anatomy which he entitled "Topographic Anatomy"
This Atlas helped his to train several generations of surgeons and has not lost value on this day
