At
first, I just (4.1) had to wash dishes, then chop and slice
vegetables. But as soon (4.2) as the chefs went out of the
kitchen I’d try to copy the dishes I’d seen (4.3) them cook. The
first dish I attempted to make was fried rice. It’s (4.4) not
difficult to mess up that anyone can cook it. By the (4.5) time I was 15 I was fed (4.6) up with
Chinese food working 12-hour days in the restaurant. So, I
(4.7) made up my mind to go to university to study History of
Art and only started cooking again in (4.8) order to get some
extra money. I think Americans eat too (4.9) much fat. Chinese food is much
healthier. My mission (4.10) has always been to encourage
people to eat (4.11) less fat and meat and more vegetables. Kids
say they don’t eat vegetables, but they usually haven’t had them
stir-fried. Cooked (4.12) like this they are delicious, healthy
and fun.
