I read your letter and I think its never late to start reading book! Book should make your brain works. It is the best thing ever - understending some important facts from books or films.
I prefer reading books that leave a strong impression and change the world outlook. I cant highlight a particular genre of books which I prefer, it is depends from book. Now Im reading "The Catcher in the Rye" and it is perfect book, as for me. It makes me lost in thoughts and I dont want it to end! You should read it, Im sure you would like it. And about foreing literature... Yes, of course Im reading foreing literature and I love it in most.
