Beat thewhiteswith a pinchof salt andsugarand a halfrate. Rubthe yolkswith remainingsugar andvanilla. Combinewhites and yolks, add flour andmixgently. Apples arecleaned,cut intoslices. Inform,greased, pourhalf ofthe test.On top ofthe applesgentlylayon the surface,pourthe remainderover theapplemixture. Bakeuntil tender20-30 minutes.Cool, sprinklewith powdered sugar.
