Camels are perfect for desert life. They have two rows of eyelashes to keep sand out of their eyes. They can close their long noses to keep out the sand too. Camels have humps on their backs. If a camel is hungry, its hump will get smaller. If a camel is thirsty it will drink a lot of water at once. A thirsty camel can drink up to 140 litres of water.
