On the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of Miklouho-Maclay,his bust was unveiled in the University of Sydney. He was known as a Russian explorer of nineteenth century. He settled down in Australia to study it's native inhabitants. Sydney is his home-town.
When Miklouho first arrived in Australia he joined Linneab society and organized a zoo centre that was the first institute in Australia.
He had visited lots of other villages, studied languages and met inhabitants.
Mikluha was considered to be a human rights activist and humanist,he was one of the first who opposed racism when the theory of "white people" bursted out.
