Город был основан в 1221 году князем Юрием Всеволодовичем
для защиты русских границ. Нижний Новгород - пятый по численности населения
город России, важный экономический, транспортный и культурный центр страны.



В нем более 600 уникальных исторических, архитектурных и
культурных памятников. В центре города расположена самая главная достопримечательность
- Кремль. В Нижнем Новгороде есть
отличные места для прогулок, к примеру, можно прогуляться по Верхневолжской
набережной – отсюда открывается великолепный вид. Кроме того, в городе большое
количество парков: Автозаводский, «Швейцария», Сормовский, Кулибина, 1 мая,
«Дубки», «Щелковский хутор».



Как и все большие города, Н.Новгород тоже имеет свои проблемы. В первую очередь это
дороги, как и во всей России в Нижнем Новгороде плохие дороги, в результате
чего, очень много несчастных случаев и пробок. Также Нижний Новгород, как
крупный промышленный центр, характеризуется высоким уровнем загрязнения воздуха,
связанным с выбросами от автомобильного транспорта и объектов промышленности.



В заключении я бы хотел сказать, что несмотря на свои
проблемы Нижний Новгород всегда останется, бережно сохраняемым городом, к которому нижегородцы
относятся с большим уважением.

There are great places for walking in Nizhny Novgorod, for example, one can take a walk along the promenade Verkhnevolzhskaya, which offers magnificent views. Besides, there is a large number of parks in the city: "Avtozavodskii", "Switzerland", "Sormovskiy", "Kulibin", "May the 1st", " Oaks ", "Shchelkovsky countryside".

Like all large cities, Nizhny Novgorod has its own problems. Primarily, it's the condition of the roads. Just like the rest of Russia, the roads in Nizhny Novgorod are in pretty bad condition, which leads to a lot of accidents and traffic jams. Also Nizhny Novgorod, being a major industrial center, is characterized by high levels of air pollution associated with emissions from vehicles and industrial facilities.

In conclusion, I would like to say that despite its problems, Nizhny Novgorod will always remain a carefully preserved city, which is treated with consideration by its inhabitants (или  Novgorodians).
