I asked my mum if she would let me stay at Sally’s house that night. She said I wouldn’t ( или she refused). I wondered why I wouldn’t. She said that the previous time I had stayed there, I had stayed up late and that I had been too tired to go to school the following day. I agreed или I said that was true but we wouldn’t do that again. She said that we had been both smoking cigarettes. I said that was not true and added I had never smoked in my life. She agreed and added that that I could go but only if I promised to behave.
