The Spasskaya tower is one of the twenty towers of the Moscow Kremlin, and the largest among them. It was created by the Italian architect Antonio Solari. The height of the tower is 71 meters now.
In the 17-th century, Russian architect Bazhen Ogurtsov and English watchmaker Christopher Galovey completed the tower in height to its modern size and installed a clock on it – the famous Kremlin Chimes. The tower is made of red stone. Here you can see the main gates of the Kremlin - Spassky Gates. The top of the tower is decorated with a glowing ruby five-pointed star which length is 3 meters and 75 centimeters.
