Mineral Park, a town in the USA is called a "ghost town", because no one lives there.
But it was different in the past.
in 1871 it had a school, lots of shops, a post office, saloons, restaurants, a weekly newspaper and 700 people lived there. They travelled by train and on horses and worked in mines. After work they liked to spend their free time in saloons and restaurants. Everyone was happy and wealthy, but all that stopped after 1887. Many families moved to other towns and the shops closed down. By 1912, the town was nearly empty. Today , there are only a few ruined buildings left. But people still visit this place to get an idea of what life was like in the past.
