The real power belongs to the Prime Minister and his Cabinet. Canada is a union of ten provinces and three territories. The main provinces are Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Alberta, etc. Ontario is the centre of The Niagara Falls, one of the world's most voluminous waterfalls, famous both for its beauty and as a valuable source of hydroelectric power. Quebec is the biggest province in Canada; its area exceeds three times the area of France. It is a bilingual and multicultural country, with both English and French as official languages at the federal level. All Canadian children have to learn both French and English at school. Nowadays Canada is a country with very high standards of living. This country is particularly advanced in the areas of health, education, social protection and human rights.
