Dear Erika,

I have recently moved to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. Kiev is a very beautiful city. I like its lanes and streets lined with chestnut trees. The capital is famous for its architectural structures such as St. Andrew's Cathedral, Kiev Pechersk Lavra, Khreshchatyk Square and many others. The city stands on the river Dnieper and about 3 million people live in the city. It is included on the list of 10 largest cities of Europe. Kiev is one of the oldest cities in the world. It's more than 2500 years old. Forests, parks and gardens occupy more than half of the territory of the city. Kiev is often called the city in the park. There are lots of theatres, museums and other landmarks in Kiev. I recommend you to visit this wonderful city. That's all for now.

Take care and keep in touch.

Best wishes,

Diana

Dear John,

How are you? How is your family?

You asked me about Ukrainian culture. We, like all Nations, have traditional clothing called "vyshyvanka". The history and geography of Ukraine is well known through art. It should be noted that each region of the country has its own style and unique flavor. Ukrainian folk culture is closely intertwined with ceremonial and religious traditions. Many customs and superstitions are associated with natural phenomena, the agricultural calendar. Ukrainian folk Christmas song "Shchedryk", in the English version known as" Carol of the Bells", has gained worldwide popularity in the musical treatment of the composer Nikolai Leontovich. The song is still very popular in the cinema.

Well, got to go now. Hope to hear from you soon.

Best wishes,

Andrew. (или замените на своё имя)
