1. This is not a question you can answer just yes or no. Different people has different 'comfort zones'. For someone it is OK, to be completely open to the World, other feel really overexposed if anyone knows something personal about them. But I guess you should not always hide your real feelings, it would be bad for your mental health.
2. I think it is not. Childhood is the time, when you develop your moral values. And be in a the center of attention will have a bad effect on that. Kid could become too arrogant or too spoiled.
