Fondue is a traditional Swiss dish. It consists
of mixture of different cheese and spices. Since 1950s
the name "fondue" has been spread to other dishes in which food is
dipped into a pot of hot liquid: chocolate fondue, in which pieces of fruits are
dipped into a melted chocolate mixture, and, in which pieces of meat are cooked in hot oil. (это предолжение лучше разбить на несколько, и не очень понятно про meat)
But if you want to cook genuine Swiss Fondue, you
should use Swiss cheese, Gruyere cheese, flour, dry white wine,
salt and bread.
First of all boil some wine in a fondue pot. Add Swiss
cheese, Gruyere cheese, 1/4 pound at a time (если имеется в виду слово "одновременно", то лучше использовать at the same time, а если друг за другом, то one after another). Mix after each addition of cheese until it melts. Add some flour. When all cheese has melted, add salt. Serve with a cut-up bread. Bon appétit!
Fondue is a delicious and simple dish that would become a
favorite at your table.
