It was Sunday,15 January. That
morning I (I got) up late. I (2 didn't have) to go to school and I (3 decided)
to stay in bed a little longer. I (4 was) in the kitchen at about half past
ten. There (5 were) some sandwiches on the plate. I (6 had) breakfast and (7 went)
to my friend Steve who (8 lived) not far from my house. Steve (9 did) a lot of
subjects very well. His marks in maths and physics (10 were) always A with a
star but he usually (11 made) a lot of mistakes in dictations. That Sunday I
(12 wanted) to dictate difficult words to him because we were going to have a
spelling test on Monday.
