Привет!
Я написал про путешествие из Москвы
Hello everyone!
This
summer me and my mother spent in the town of Palanga, Lithuania.
Palanga is known for its beautiful long beaches, and scenery views,
even though Baltic sea is not the warmest sea.
We started our trip
with applying for Schengen visas at Liuthanian embassy in Moscow. After
the visas were issued, we purchased train tickets and went to a bank to
buy euros to cover our expenses.
It took us 14 hours to get to Vilnius. After that we took a suburb train to get to
Klaipėda. And from Klaipėda we bus to Palanga, where we had booked a cozy room in one of the hotels.
Palanga
is a small yet beautiful town. As many towns along the shoreline, it is
mostly a touristic place. The main touristic attraction is Basanavichus
Street. It is a pedestrian street with amusement parks, restaurants,
night-clubs and fast-food booths.
Next to Basanavichus st
there's the grand, beautiful Church of the Assumption. It was designed
by the Swedish architect K. Strandman, and built between 1897 and 1906.
It is 76 meters high, and could be seen from anywhere in town.
We
went swimming every day, visited several restaurants and even rode a
Segway! Segway is a self-balancing, battery-powered electric vehicle,
and it was so much fun! That was the most remarkable activity this
summer.
I hope I will get back to Palanga to spend several more happy days.
