Nikita Mikhalkov (genus. October 21, 1945, Moscow, USSR) is a Soviet and Russian actor, film Director, screenwriter and producer, people's artist of the RSFSR (1984).
Chairman of the Union of cinematographers of Russia since 1998. Winner of the Academy award (1994) in the category "Best foreign language film" for the film "Burnt by the sun". Born October 21, 1945 in Moscow in the family of Soviet writer Sergei Mikhalkov and poetess, writer and interpreter Natalia konchalovskaya. Older brother Andrei Mikhalkov-Konchalovsky.
In 1956-1959 Nikita Mikhalkov studied at the Central music school at the Moscow Conservatory in piano, studied at the drama school at the Dramatic theater of Stanislavsky.
In 1963 he enrolled in drama school name Shchukin; in 1966, as a student of the fourth year, took part to the filming, for which he was excluded (students at that time it was forbidden). Moved on to the second course in the directing Department of VGIK.
In 1971 he graduated from the VGIK (workshop of Mikhail Romm). Thesis film was a Quiet day at the end of the war, the script of which was written by Mikhalkov together with Rustam Ibrahimbekov.
