English writer, most known by his literary pseudonym J. K. Rowling
(Joanne Kathleen Rowling). J. K. Rowling, Joanne Katheline Rowling,
author of a series of novels about Harry Potter, translated into 64
languages. In 2001, JK Rowling's book "Harry Potter and the goblet of
fire" won the Hugo award. Chevalier of the Legion of honour (2009).
She
was born July 31, 1965 in the small town of IAT in Gloucestershire (in
16 km North-East of Bristol). Parents - Peter James Rowling (eng. Peter
James Rowling and Anne Rowling (eng. Anne Rowling), before marriage -
Volant (eng. Volant). Sister Dianne (Di) (eng. Dianne (Di)) was born 2
years later Johanna - June 28, 1967. When Joan was 4 years old, the
family moved to the village Winterburn (eng. Winterbourne). In
Winterbourne they sister and I played with a girl and a boy by the name
of pottery. Joan attended primary school St Michael's, founded more than
200 years ago William Wilberforce. The mother gave all his time to his
daughters. Ann loved to read children books. To five years, Joanna
almost knew by heart all the children's books. In six years she showed
her mother the first story about the adventures of a rabbit named
Rabbit. The family moved again when she was nine years old - in Tutshill
(eng. Tutshill near Chepstow (eng. Chepstow in the Forest of Dean).
When Joan was 15 years old, her mother became ill. Diagnosed with
multiple sclerosis.
