1) -Does the clock work?- Oh yes ,( it was /repaired /last Monday)
2)-Did you get up early?-Too early. ( I was woken up by a strange sound at 5 o'clock/in the morning).
3) -You are such a shy person, so uncertain.- ( I have never been taught to do things/ on my own)
4) Have you got tickets for this play? -oh yes,( two seats were bought last week)
5) I like this detective story a lot. ( It will be staged in our theatre/ next season)
6) The play is a tremendous success,( ten curtain calls were taken during/ the last perfomence)
7) No wonder the actors know their words so well, ( the play had been rehearsed many times/ before/ the premiere)/
8) I hope ( a new record will be brjken in swimming/ at the coming Olympic Games)
