This town is located in South Wales. It stands on the banks of three rivers, flowing into Cardiff Bay – Taff and Ely, and the river Rhymney, which flows into Bristol Bay. Its history goes back to the times of the Roman Empire. At the location of the modern Cardiff in 75 bc, was built a Fort. About V century after the end of the era of Rome, the Fort was abandoned. His surviving fragments were embedded in the walls of Cardiff castle during its construction, which began in 1901.
